Respire Stix

Face or Feet? You Decide!

We love our Respire Stix so much for how it eases cold symptoms and squashes sinus headaches. I use it mostly for sinus headache pain and apply it topically at my sinuses. My daughter loves to inhale it to help with mild asthma and my granddaughter applies it to the bottom of her feet to help ease cold symptoms and mild asthma. The Respire Stix is a must have for your natural healing protocols.

The Benefits of Diffusing

image

Diffusers work by breaking down essential oils into micro molecules that then fill the air.  The particles remain in the air, improving the existing quality of the air.  As you breathe the air you reap the benefits of the oils.  Diffusing essential oils is a great way to have a family member benefit from the oil if they are resistant to topical applications.  Children with sensory disorders can be resistant to having oils applied topically and adding Jeddy’s Blend to the diffuser is a winner.  Diffusing is also an excellent idea when you have a sick family member.  Diffusing Shield Blend can help boost your family’s immunity.  Essential oils should not be applied topically to young children.  If they are in need of calming down, lavender and roman chamomile are great options for their bedrooms.

Diffusing essential oils in your car is a good option for staying staying alert during long trips on the road.  Our Pulse Tasa is a diffuser that can be used in your car and home.  Two oils to help with focus and alertness while driving are peppermint and cinnamon.

This weekend ALL of our diffusers are on sale PLUS when using Coupon Code-jeanne you will save an additional 10% making your savings 25%

Essential Highlights: The Citrus Kit

Essential Highlights-Citrus
Citrus oils are energizing, uplifting and invigorating. They can be a ray of sunshine on a cloudy day. They can help with depression and winter time blues. I strongly encourage you to diffuse these “sunny” essential oils if you are experiencing cabin fever.
WILD ORANGE is a cheerful oil and very useful for mood elevation and generally well received by children. It can help relieve stress and is often used quite successfully to help children sleep. It can also help with constipation (apply to the navel). Wild Orange is also delicious added to smoothies, chocolate and pancake batter.
LEMON is a very fresh oil. It’s a great oil to diffuse in your kitchen because it’s great for eliminating odors. Do you want to get rid of cigarette smoke odor? Try lemon oil. Its anti-bacterial properties make it perfect for cleaning surfaces. Simply add lemon oil to a water filled glass bottle. It’s great for removing gum from your child’s hair or used as a natural gunk remover. One of my favorite uses is a quick swipe down the side of my nose to stop it from running.
GRAPEFRUIT is a bright oil that can help awaken your senses. It’s a great oil to add to your washcloth and leave on the shower floor, allow the heat of the shower to create an aromatic start for your day. I really think you’ll love the energy. Because of it’s high vitamin C content it’s great for immune support which is another reason to diffuse it when everyone is stuck indoors during the winter. It is also quite helpful with mental exhaustion.
LIME has an intoxicating citrus scent, I just love it. It is very uplifting when diffused and an oil you definitely will use in the kitchen. Use it in all of your lime inspired recipes and add it to your club soda. It’s also beneficial to help with colds, coughs, asthma and can boost the immune system. If you don’t have a diffuser add a drop into the palms of your hands with a carrier oil and inhale.
The CITRUS KIT is on sale during the month of February and when using COUPON CODE: jeanne you will double your savings to get 20% off
If you have any questions about the kit or citrus oils, please ask!
(Citrus Oils may be photosensitive, avoid sunlight after use)

Paleo *Ice Cream* Fat Bomb!

                                                                    fbomb
Here is a great recipe for a Paleo *Ice Cream* Fat bomb!
The chocolate part of this is very dark chocolate..The three Grow Share Inspire ladies LOVE dark chocolate!
For the chocolate part of the fat bomb I combine 3/4 cup of coconut oil & 1/2 cup of cocoa powder.
I recommend adding honey to this mix 1-3tbsp depending on how sweet you like your chocolate!
For the *Ice Cream* part I combine 1 can of coconut cream, 1tbsp honey (again if you want it really sweet just add more to meet your preference!),
and 5 drops of Spark Naturals Wild Orange essential oil!
Pour a small amount of the chocolate mix into a cupcake liner, just enough to cover the bottom,
then put 1tbsp of the coconut mix on top of that, and cover with more chocolate mix!
If you want to make it look prettier you can sprinkle come shredded coconut on top!
Be sure to have the coconut near by because the chocolate sets up pretty quickly!
Place in the freezer until all is set up (about 2hrs) and ENJOY!
Wild Orange essential oil is only $5.99 and you can save 10% when you purchase at SparkNaturals.com when you use coupon code: jeanne

Essential Oils in Cooking

I love cooking with fresh herbs! There’s only one problem, I don’t have a green thumb at all. I know because I’ve buried more plants than I’ve grown. I’ve tried inside herb gardens and have had some success, okay little success. Seems those inside gardens bring gnats faster than they produce herbs. And where I know that I can get rid of the gnats with essential oils why not just crack open a beautiful bottle of Spark Naturals essential oils. No need to kill another rosemary plant!
I love using essential oils in cooking and baking because of the savings. One package of fresh herbs are around $3 and a container of dried herbs can cost anywhere from $3-$12.  AND they expire! Fresh herbs…don’t stay fresh and dried herbs loose there flavor. Pure essential oils don’t go bad. What a wonderful investment for your spice rack!!
BASIL ($6.30)
Can be used in Italian recipes or anywhere basil is part of the recipe. We use it in our homemade meatball and spaghetti sauce recipe. It’s also delicious added to water, gives water a sweet licorice flavor.

CILANTRO ($8.66)
Can be used anywhere cilantro is part of the recipe. Try it in salsa and guacamole.
salsa
GINGER ($9.14)
Can be used anywhere ginger is called for in a recipe. I also like to add a few drop to a quart of water when experiencing stomach distress.

Love lemon in everything! Add it to your water, use it to infuse ice cubes. Delicious in smoothies and baked goods.

Don’t Forget The Sunscreen!

summer

Its getting to be that time of year when people start dusting off their suitcases and begin to think about their summer vacation. Don’t let bug bites, motion sickness, sunburns, swimmers ear, stomach distress, and road rage ruin your trip! Make sure you have the ESSENTIALS!

cartrip

CAR TRIPS

Did you know that certain smells can have an effect on anxiety and road rage? PEPPERMINT not only helps drivers stay alert it can help curb drivers frustration. GRAPEFRUIT can help with mental fatigue which can be a problem on long road trips. When dealing with motion sickness, PEPPERMINT is going to be your first choice. Before heading out on your road trip add 1-3 drops behind the ears, on the navel, and on your wrists. Repeat this hourly and start several hours before your trip! When applying this to children dilute PEPPERMINT with fractioned coconut oil. If you experience nausea during the trip use GINGER. Inhale it from the bottle or roll on the bottom of your feet.

SEASICKNESS

If you’ve experienced sea sickness in the past then you’ll want to always be prepared with GINGER. A couple drops of ginger inhaled from the palms of your hand or inhaled from a handkerchief can be very beneficial.

CAMPING

Camping can be a fun and economical way to spend time with your family over the summer.

dad-son-fishing

Enjoy fishing, late night campfires, and hiking trips without the annoyance of insects. Spark Naturals has a NATURE-OUTDOOR blend that is a great bug repellent. BASIL and LEMONGRASS are also great insect repellents. If you experience a bug bite or sting apply LAVENDAR directly to the affected area. Got a sunburn from that long hike? LAVENDAR with fractioned coconut oil will take the sting out of the sunburn! Have you brought home an unwanted souvenir? Apply 1-2 drops of THYME directly on a tick AND the surrounding area. Do NOT use this protocol on animals!

PORTA-POTTIES

Just the thought of them makes me queasy! You are going to want SHIELD blend! Have your blend pre-mixed in a 2 oz. spray bottle (10 drops SHIELD and fill the remainder with witch hazel). Spray EVERYTHING from door handle and beyond! Be prepared especially with kiddos that ALWAYS need to go to the bathroom!

STAYCATION

So you decided to skip the sea sickness, road trip road rage, and porta-potties? Maybe you decided to spend the weekend at a local resort.. If you spend too much time in the pool and you develop swimmers ear add 1 drop each MELALEUCA and LAVENDAR to a cotton ball and wipe the inside of the ear back of ear and jawline. NEVER put oils directly into the ear! In your room use your pre-made SHIELD spray to spray surfaces, faucets, remotes etc. The spray will not only sanitize surfaces, it will repel bed bugs! Spray the inside inside of your luggage before packing also!
